The Server provides a Configuration Manager application that provides an easy mechanism for configuring web and data services, as well as manage user access, data display and application performance.
For CARIS Bathy DataBASE users the Server allows bathymetry or elevation data to be drawn directly from the database to the map client or viewer. Similarly, CARIS HPD users can use the web publisher to draw data from the database.
The Server can be used to serve data to the Spatial Fusion® Viewer, or to a third party web map viewer for data output via GeoJSON standard, or OGC®: standards such as WCS, WMS, WMTS, WFS, GML, and KML.
For a complete list of CARIS implemented OGC® standards and their version numbers please visit http://www.opengeospatial.org/resource/products.
In addition, the Server also implements the INSPIRE View Service and the Feature Download Service in support of the European Community's INSPIRE Directive. Using SFE will allow your hydrographic or national mapping agency to meet current INSPIRE objectives and allow you to grow and adhere with INSPIRE as it evolves.
