The S-57 Composer DNC Module is enabled via an optional license setup. The DNC Module enables users to take advantage of the unique capability to convert ENC to DNC and vice versa.

CARIS has a long history of leadership in conversion between ENC and DNC. The CARIS HOM & DOM applications have included support for conversion for more than a decade. CARIS' leading membership in international groups, like the Hydrographic Information Harmonisation Working Group (HIHWG), clearly demonstrates our expertise in ENC-DNC conversion.

S-57 Composer includes a new, unique solution for format conversion. After opening the new source format, a simple button press will result in an initial conversion success rate of approximately 80%. Further refinements are easily solved with customized mapping support and built-in editing and quality assurance tools. Gone are workflow steps like the need to relayer the data or rebuild topology. These are all taken care of by CARIS S-57 Composer.
