Dataset Configuration Management
Tailors configurations of the available data for various uses. Groupings of subsets of the data to be viewed, initial display settings and source services can be set.
User Management
User ID, passwords and profile information can be specified, as well as user roles, which allow groups of registered users to gain access to various privilege levels in the system.
Web-based Application
Access the tools from many points in the network. Security can be configured more easily by normal infrastructure personnel.
Creation and Maintenance
Create and maintain snapshots of ENC or DNC data from various HPD Source Databases. Data is maintained in the same usage structure as in the source database and can be added, removed or updated from the source by usage and feature acronym.
Partitioning Data Resources
Allow access to data to be distributed and balanced between network servers for maximum performance and more controlled security needs. Allows datasets to be partitioned logically in various ways.
Selection and Extraction of Data
Data can be selected to see attributes on individual objects. Layers of data can be selected by usage and feature type for export to GML/XML data which can be saved to a file for import into other GML compliant applications.
Viewing Data
Allows display of data currently available in various HPDWeb datasets. Display is similar to that in HPD Source Editor. Users can navigate through the available data to see finer details and can selectively control which parts of the data are shown (by usage, feature type and spatial object type).
