The HPD Raster Module is enabled via an optional license setup. Users can compile and maintain paper charts as a set of raster layers instead of using symbolized vector features. This approach is particularly useful where vector product source data does not yet exist in the HPD Source Database.

It also allows for paper charts to be exported as Raster Navigational Charts (RNCs) in the BSB format. This format is popularly used by on-board navigation systems, as well as in GIS applications. BSB format RNCs can be exported from any Paper Chart Editor chart, whether it is a vector or a raster one.
