HOM ENC contains a complete set of tools for creating, editing, updating, and managing S-57 electronic chart production data. CARIS HOM, developed in cooperation with many of the major ENC producing agencies, meets the rigorous needs of ENC production environments.

Features have been built into CARIS HOM to address the intricacies of ENC specifications, allowing users to concentrate on production. These features include advanced data filtering and geometric analysis tools, exchange set wizards, push-button creation of feature objects, and ability to load raster backdrops. Full automation of quality control and quality assurance procedures is possible while the software is flexible enough to allow the user to take the lead, giving you absolute confidence throughout your workflow.

HOM works well with the full range of other CARIS systems, including survey processing and completion (HIPS and Notebook), contouring and sounding selection (BSE), paper chart production (GIS), raster chart production (RMS), and the Hydrographic Production Database. Data can also be easily imported from DNC's and exchanged with CARIS DOM. The import, conversion and export of many foreign file formats is supported through easy to use wizards and tools.
