DOM DNC/VMap contains a complete set of tools for the creation, editing, update and management of reliable, clean and fully compliant VPF databases. CARIS DOM has been developed in cooperation with the leading DNC updating agencies of the world, thus ensuring that it meets the rigorous needs of DNC production environments.

Features have been built into CARIS DOM to address the intricacies of the DNC/VMap specifications. Users can concentrate on production. DOM is fully interoperative with the full range of other CARIS systems including survey processing and completion (HIPS and Notebook), Contouring and sounding selection (BSE), Paper chart Production (GIS), raster chart production (RMS), as well as the Hydrographic Production Database. Data can also be easily imported from ENC's and exchanged with CARIS HOM. The import, conversion and export of many foreign file formats is supported through easy to use wizards and tools.
