How do I open the .zip charts that I downloaded from the NOAA chart server?
The chart files downloaded from the NOAA chart server are packaged in .compressed files with the extension .zip. You can open these by double clicking on the zip file in Windows XP, then dragging the ENC_ROOT folder into a folder on your hard drive. You can then use Easy View to open the .000 file in the ENC_ROOT\chartname subfolder.
Why did some of my fonts change after I installed or uninstalled Easy View 1.0.1?
The Arial font file packaged with the installer/uninstaller for Easy View 1.0.1 differs slightly from the one included with Microsoft Windows. This can cause some characters to be represented by the wrong symbol, or to be italicized incorrectly. This can be corrected by installing Easy View 1.0.2 or later, or by downloading and running the FontFix executable. Download executable.

You can access the object filter toolbar by checking the Filter Toolbar from the View > Toolbars menu
