Text annotations can now use data from multiple attributes.
Chart annotations can display pie or bar charts of numeric attributes.
Polygons can now be classified using a fill pattern. The size and colour of the
symbols in the pattern can be set separately from the fill colour.
The new Analyze Using Buffers command allows advanced analysis of geometric
data by creating buffer layers:
Single or multiple buffers can be generated around features.
Buffers can inherit the attributes of the features used to generate them or be assigned new user-defined attributes.
Buffer layers can be used by the Overlay and Geometry Analysis commands.
Buffer layers can be annotated and classified.
Several Overlay commands added: Intersect, Union, Not, Identity, XOR, and
Dissolve. These commands use polygon and buffer layers to create new layers
based on given relationships and attributes.
Carta can now display Web Mapping Service (WMS) data.
Import Points now maps attributes and displays a preview of the input data. It can
also import fixed width columns.
Advanced queries can now be made on Shapefiles.
Support added for ECW/ECWP and encrypted BSB images.
Carta Browser can now save GeoTIFF images and print templates.
Support added for ACAD format. DWG and DXF 2004 are supported for direct
viewing.
The ability to publish from templates has been improved.
