CARIS was proud to be a sponsor of the Lest We Forget ~ N'oublions jamais 2015 Remembrance Day tribute dinner held in Moncton, New Brunswick. The focus of this event was to raise awareness of the contributions and sacrifices made by local men and women in uniform. The donation from CARIS helped to enable cadets from the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario, to join with veterans and serving members alike to take part in the proceedings. Approximately 600 people were in attendance including military members and their families, RCMP officers, local artists, entertainers, business and political leaders.

Keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Kevin Vickers, Canadian Ambassador to Ireland and former House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms. Mr. Vickers, a native of Newcastle, NB, has been hailed as a hero by former Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other prominent Canadian and international figures for his brave actions in the October 2014 attack on Parliament Hill.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support a variety of local charitable organizations such as the Military Families Fund, the Cadet Youth Program and the Moncton Fallen Members Fund of the RCMP Foundation.
