Winners announced for CARIS calendar contest

Fredericton, NB, Canada – October 23, 2014 – The Liberty Samuel Tilden shipwreck was investigated during a search activity near the port of Bari, Italy. The guns located at the bow and stern of the wreck are clearly recognizable and are visually identified by underwater video.The votes are in and the winners of the CARIS calendar contest have been selected. Congratulations to all of the winners. The winning images will be included in the upcoming 2015 CARIS calendar and featured on the CARIS website.

Congratulations to Erika Buttaro from the Italian Navy who was the overall contest winner with the highest number of votes across the CARIS website, Facebook and Google Plus voting pages. Her submission of the Liberty Samuel Tilden shipwreck near the port of Bari, Italy, which was processed in CARIS HIPS and SIPS, received hundreds of votes.

Thank you to everyone that participated in the calendar contest. Keep your eyes out for the 2015 calendar, which will be available in the coming weeks.
