Groynes Along the Danube River Near Krems
Danube-Riverbed survey in the area of Krems (Lower Austria). The survey shows groynes, constructed nearly perpendicular to the river bank. These serve to control erosion and improve navigation. Surveyed with Reson Seabat 8101 Multibeam Echosounding System. Part I (top): Contour map created with GIS 4.4a. Part II (bottom): BASE surface created with HIPS 6.0 (resolution 1.5m).
