Any department or faculty at academic institutions can join the Academic Partnering Program that is interested in working with and displaying spatial data. With the research option available even research institutions can have access to CARIS software to conduct their own research.
So that students will have access to industry leading software. To give students the opportunity to graduate with hands on experience and step into the workforce knowing how to use software companies are using.
It is a simple process: Once it is determine that the software is to be used for a research purpose or academic purpose (classroom, student projects) an Academic Agreement is provided to be signed between the academic institution and CARIS. The primary contact receives the appropriate training. The academic institution receives the software at the end of the training. Then the software is licenced for use and can be used by students and faculty/staff. The agreement is normally for a period of one year (renewable annually), and covers all the details of the partnership.

Receive CARIS Newsletters: not only will you receive our quarterly newsletter, but also you can gain exposure through them, by being featured in articles. These newsletters reach all of our clients, users, and alliances around the world.
Access to the CARIS Online Customer Services web page, with updates available to download, CARIS HelpDesk to manage and keep track of support issues, and current documentation.
We not only benefit from the obvious of having students learning our software, but we also love to receive copies of any written papers or projects completed by students using CARIS software. We in turn place them on our website to promote the school and the students work.
